RESEARCH PROJECTS

Bioplastic with Orange peel

Fondo Fomento a la Investigación UP 2019

We are developing a bioplastic under the Circular Economy strategies, where waste is used as a new secondary raw material to obtain a new product without toxins. In this way the product is cheaper and more friendly to the environment and health.

Biochar

We produce and analyse different kinds of biochar, a high-quality charcoal that is made from residual materials, mainly from organic lignin waste. The use of biochar is extensive and offers many advantages like soil enrichment, soil remediation, enhance crop yeald, stock farming and water treatment, to name just a few.
